Christian coalition to host breakfast

The Cherokee County Christian Coalition will host a candidate breakfast Saturday, May 20, at Ryan's Restaurant. All filed and announced candidates are invited to attend. Candidates are encouraged to bring their families, their minister and other guests, including campaign staff.

Breakfast will be from 8:30-9 a.m. The program will begin at 9. Only the primary candidate will be allowed to speak, but all candidates are encouraged to attend. Campaign literature is permitted. Each candidate will be given two minutes to speak. Another candidate breakfast is planned for the fall General Election candidates.

The Christian Coalition is a nonpartisan organization and does not endorse candidates. The Christian Coalition educates the voter on Christian political issues. It is the largest and most active conservative grassroots political organization in America. The Christian Coalition offers people of faith a vehicle to be actively involved in shaping their government. It is committed to representing the pro-family agenda and educating voters on the critical issues. The Christian Coalition is active in the fight to end partial birth abortions, to improve education and lower the family's tax burden. The Christian Coalition is well known for it voter education program called voter guides. These nonpartisan guides give voters a clear understanding of where various candidates stand on the issues.
