CAMPAIGN SIGN IN YARD BURNED
A campaign sign in the yard of a political candidate's son was burned Saturday, a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office states.
The sign, valued at $150, belonged to Bobby Beattie and was located in Brandon Beattie's yard in the 100 block of Burgess Road in Gaffney.
Brandon Beattie said he noticed a silver four-door Pontiac parked nearby, police said. The incident occurred at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
Beattie is running for the District 30 state House of Representatives seat. He will face Libby Swad in the June 13 Republican primary.
