Bon voyage party held for newlyweds

MR. AND MRS. WILLIAM H. MOTT V MR. AND MRS. WILLIAM H. MOTT V Mr. and Mrs. Dana Morgan of Gaffney entertained at a bon voyage cookout at their home on Saturday, May 6, to celebrate the recent marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Marie Williams, to William H. Mott V, E-4, U.S. Navy, of Belmont Calif.

High school and college friends along with relatives gathered to meet the couple and enjoy the festivities before the newlyweds' departure to Washington State.

Mrs. Mott is also the daughter of the late Kent Williams. Her paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Williams and maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William A. Terry of Denmark, S.C. The Rev. and Mrs. Clifton Morgan of Shelby are also grandparents.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Gaffney High School, where she was a four-year member of the JROTC, reaching the rank of Lt.

Colonel her senior year. She also played sweeper on the Lady Indians' soccer team.

The groom is the son of William H. Mott IV and Tamberlyn L. Mott of Belmont, CAlif. He graduated in 2004 from Hillsdale HIgh School, where he was a member of the varsity football and baseball teams. He has complete and two-year nuclear engineering course at the Charleston Naval Base.

Mr. and Mrs. Mott will visit his parents prior to a week-long cruise to Mexico. Following the cruse, Mr. Mott will report to Bangor Naval Base near Seattle, Wash., where he is assigned to the submarine Henry M. Jackson.

Mrs. Mott completed her first year at Columbia College, majoring in speech pathology and minoring in Spanish. She plans to continue her studies in Washington.
