Annual Plow Day planned June 3

The Broad River Antique Power Association will sponsor its annul "Plow Day" on Saturday, June 3, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Twin Lakes Road and Overbrook Drive.

Farm equipment and implements, once necessary to our rural lifestyles, are now hobbies for showing at such events as Plow Day. Competitions will include wagon backing, barrel roll, slow race, plowing and hitching contests.

Children can compete in the Kids' Petal Pull and other games. Bill Lambright will be serving his award-winning barbecue with all the trimmings. Homemade ice cream mae by an antique hitand miss engine ice cream maker will be served by Hugh Sprouse.

The members of the Broad River Antique Power Association encourage families to join in the fun and enjoy a day outdoors.
