Paul Campbell
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH - Paul Thomas Campbell, 73, of 307-D 2nd Ave. North, died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at Carolinas Medical Center.
A native of Cherokee County, Mr. Campbell was the son of the late Clarence Campbell and the late Edith Broome Campbell. He was a foster son of the late Sherard Stewart and the late Ruth Stewart. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and was retired
after 26 years of
service with Rock Hill School District No. 3, where he was a teacher and assistant principal at Sullivan Junior High, principal at Rosewood Elementary, principal at Castle Heights Junior High and Director of Secondary Education at the District Office.
Surviving are his wife, Patsy McElveen Campbell; three daughters, Martha Warner, Miriam Simmons, both of Rock Hill and Myra Ashe of North Myrtle Beach; a brother, Clarence Buddy Campbell of Gaffney; two sisters, Kate Ellen Spencer and Edna Howard, both of Gaffney; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, conducted by Dr. Willie Boulware. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Miriam Simmons, 2263 Selwyn Place, Rock Hill.
