Dear Editor:

The Cherokee Children's Home would like to thank the United States Post Office for having an annual national food drive to benefit those in need of food items.

We thank the mail carriers who physically pick up the food as they deliver the mail and mail support staff who help unload the donated food and distribute it to nonprofit organizations in Gaffney.

And to you, residents of Cherokee County, your generosity shows that you care and are willing to share to help those in need. You are helping the people in your own community who are less fortunate.

We are very grateful for receiving 2,035 pounds of food which helps to fill our pantry and is a tremendous help with cutting food costs.
