Jacob Fowlkes received the Governor's Citizenship Award from Gov. Mark Sanford on May 2 at the State House in Columbia. Jacob is the son of Mike and Missy Fowlkes of Gaffney and grandson of John and Ruthann Fowlkes, Susan Childers, all of Gaffney, and the late Joe Childers. He is a fifth grade student at Northwest Elementary School.
