ENGAGEMENT

Christopher John Osborne and Sheila Kanipe White Sheila Kanipe White and Christopher John Osborne announce their engagement.

Miss White is the daughter of Shirley K. White of Gaffney and the late Stanley W. White. She graduated from North Greenville University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and elementary education.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Pearl White of Palm Coast, Fla., Ollie Kanipe of Forest City, N.C., the late Taft White and the late Vance Kanipe.

Mr. Osborne is the son of Richard Osborne of Boone, N.C., and Debbie Runyan of Greensboro. He is a graduate of Lander University with a bachelor's degree in computer science.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Hipps of Mt. Holly, N.C., Bill Osborne of Stanley, N.C., and Mildred Osborne of Charlotte.

An August wedding is planned in Greenville.
