Miss Alsbrooks, Mr. Player married June 10

MRS. WARREN STOKES PLAYER (MARGARET ELIZABETH ALSBROOKS) MRS. WARREN STOKES PLAYER (MARGARET ELIZABETH ALSBROOKS) Margaret Elizabeth Alsbrooks and Warren Stokes Player were married Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church in Mount Pleasant. The Rev. Thomas Herrington performed the 6 p.m. ceremony.

Music was provided by organist Seung Lan Kim and trumpeter Cameron Harder.

The reception followed at Alhambra Hall.

The bride is the daughter of the Honorable and Mrs. John Henry Alsbrooks Jr. of Mountain Brook, Ala. She is the granddaughter of the late Marjorie Brabston Grant and James Wilmon Grant, both of Birmingham, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Alsbrooks, also of Birmingham.

Mrs. Player is employed by Roper St. Francis Healthcare of Charleston as Senior Decision Support Analyst.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Thomas Player of Mount Pleasant. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cody Sossamon Sr. of Gaffney and the late Mr. and Mrs. Orville Van Player Jr. of Sumter.

Mr. Player is employed at Benefitfocus. com in Mount Pleasant as Senior Software Engineer.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown designed by Melissa Sweet of diamond white embossed silk organdy over silk charmeuse which featured a chapel-length train.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Ruth Ellen Alsbrooks, of London, England. Bridesmaids were Staci Aileen Padove of Atlanta, Andrea Lee Schuch of London and Laura Anne Thoms of Washington, D.C.

Reader for the ceremony was Heather Noel Winter of New York City, N.Y.

Will DeCamp Player served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were William James Deupree IV of Mount Pleasant, Andrew Leon Kau of Saint Louis, Mo., and Jed Ford Wible of Newnan, Ga.

Ushers were Joel Edgerton Smith of Memphis, Tenn., and Louis Cody Smith of Columbia.

The rehearsal dinner was given by the groom's parents at the I'On Creek Club in Mount Pleasant on Friday, June 9.

After a wedding trip to St. Barthelemy, French West Indies, the couple will be at home in Mount Pleasant.
