Enjoyed working with public as a ladies' wear sales clerk

Bonnie Marie Houser Kendrick, 91, of 2110 Westfield Dr., Valdosta, Ga., died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Hospice House, Forest City, N.C. Prior to her death, Mrs. Kendrick resided for the past two years at White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton.

Mrs. Kendrick was a dedicated servant of the Lord and shared in her husband's ministry serving various churches in North Carolina and South Carolina. Always active in her church, she was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta, Ga., and was a former member of Crestview Baptist Church in Forest City, N.C. In addition to her church activities, Mrs. Kendrick enjoyed working with the public as a ladies' wear sales clerk.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Boyce Kendrick and his wife, Shirley, of Biloxi, Miss., Angela Cothran of Valdosta, Ga., and Denise Earney and her husband, Johnny, of Rutherfordton along with nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church.

The family asks for memorials to be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, N.C. 28043; or to Crestview Baptist Church, Forest City, N.C.
