3 arrested in Mosley slaying

KELLY ROBERTS KELLY ROBERTS Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of 25-year-old Ian Mosley.

They are expected to be charged with one count each of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to the Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle. They are each awaiting extradition to Richmond County, Ga.

Demetric Lamont Twitty, 31, of Gaffney was arrested Thursday and is being held at the Cherokee County Detention Center.

Kelly Roberts, 28, of Gaffney is being held at the Edgefield County Detention Center.

Woodrow Wilson Garner Jr., 27, of Spartanburg, is being held at the Spartanburg County Detention Center.

According to a story that appeared in the Augusta Chronicle, the three are being

charged in connection with the July 25 murder of Mosley, a Gaffney native whose body was found floating face-down in the Savannah River near a lock and dam at the Augusta Regional Airport.

Mosley died of a close-contact gunshot wound to the head.

Police located Mosley's white Lexus in Rutherford County, N.C., two days after his murder. Officers also searched Mosley's telephone records for leads.

DEMETRIC TWITTY DEMETRIC TWITTY Investigators from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the Gaffney Police Department, Spartanburg County, Rutherford County, Edgefield County, the S.C. Department of Probation and the S.C. Law Enforcement Division assisted the Richmond County Sheriff's Office in their investigation.

Authorities in both South Carolina and Georgia have scheduled press conferences for later today.
