Miss Cooksey, Mr. Peake exchange vows Aug. 26

MRS. JOSHUA AARON PEAKE (KATIE ANN COOKSEY) MRS. JOSHUA AARON PEAKE (KATIE ANN COOKSEY) Katie Ann Cooksey and Joshua Aaron Peake, both of West Columbia, were married Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, at Rutledge College on the University of South Carolina Horseshoe. The Rev. Tom Hall officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony that was followed by a reception at the McCutchen House on the Horseshoe.

Mrs. Peake is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cooksey of Gaffney and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Cochran of Piedmont, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Van Derbeck of Charlotte and the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Cooksey. A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.S. degree in marketing and management, she is employed by A3Communications as Director of Marketing.

Mr. Peake is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Peake Jr. of West Columbia and grandson of Alice Godfrey and the late Carl Godfrey Sr. and Mrs. Clyde Peake Sr. and the late Eliza Peake. His greatgrandmother is Cora Stribnick. A graduate of the University of South Carolina and Midlands Technical

College with a degree in architectural engineering, he is employed by Southland Log Homes as a designer.

Kelly Lynn Cooksey of West Columbia attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Lam of Lexington, Lacey Wilson of Gaffney, Anna Huffman and Sheila Subbarao, both of Columbia, Jennifer Spearman of Forest, Va., and Melanie Whitney of Simpsonville.

Alexandra Ganther of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. , cousin of the groom, was flower girl.

The groom had his father as best man. Ushers were Alex Peake, brother of the groom, Andrew Seay, both of West Columbia, Austin Starowicz of Charlotte, Wesley Huffman of Columbia, John Beaumont of Florence and John Murray of North Charleston.

Music was provided by Sara Beardsley.

After a cruise to Mexico and the Western Caribbean, Mr. and Mrs. Peake will make their home in West Columbia.
