Louise Miller
Louise Quilliam Miller, 65, of 109 Salem Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at U p s t a t e C a r o l i n a M e d i c a l Center.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Frederic Quilliam and Eveline Benoit Quilliam and wife of Tony Miller. Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Furman University and a member of Who's Who of American Teachers. She was a French teacher at Heritage Christian School for 15 years and she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She was a loving mother and wife. She was dedicated to her teaching and was an inspiration to her students. She was constantly praying for others and was always concerned with the needs of her friends and family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Tonya Hanke and husband, Chris, of Spartanburg; a sister, Corine Hatch of Orlando, Fla.; a niece, Betsy Walliser and husband, Clark, of California; two nephews, Mark Hatch and wife, Patti, of California and Stan Hatch, also of California; and a sister in-law, Patsy Miller, of Belmont, N.C.
The family will receive friends today from 2-4 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church. Services will be held at 4 p.m., immediately following visitation, and will be conducted by Dr. Ray St. John. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church Mission Fund, P.O. Box 1792, 907 E. O'Neal St., Gaffney, S.C. 29342.
The family will be at the residence.
