American Idol top 20 contestant guest at 2006 Carolina Talent Show
Event set for Nov. 11 at Granard Middle School
Heather Cox, one of the top 20 contestants in American Idol's fifth season, will serve as a judge and will also sing during the evening. She will be signing autographs after the show. Another judge and performer will be Tayah Campbell, a member of the group ICANDE. Tayah has been taking dance lessons since she was six years old. The winner of the competition will receive $100. First runner-up receives $75 while $50 goes to the second runner up. Reserved seats are $20 in advance. Advance general admission seats are $15. General admission at the door is $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 3 to 12. Children under three get in free. Contestants ages 14 and older are invited to enter as an individual or group. Entry fee is $25. Deadline for entry is Saturday, Oct. 21. There is a limited number of spots available so early entry is encouraged. For entry information contact Julie Humphries, 219-3447. |
