American Idol top 20 contestant guest at 2006 Carolina Talent Show
Event set for Nov. 11 at Granard Middle School
Heather Cox A former American Idol contestant will be special guest at the 2006 Carolina Talent Show on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Granard Middle School. Show time is 5 p.m.
Heather Cox, one of the top 20 contestants in American Idol's fifth season, will serve as a judge and will also sing during the evening. She will be signing autographs after the show.
Another judge and performer will be Tayah Campbell, a member of the group ICANDE. Tayah has been taking dance lessons since she was six years old.
The winner of the competition will receive $100. First runner-up receives $75 while $50 goes to the second runner up.
Reserved seats are $20 in advance. Advance general admission seats are $15. General admission at the door is $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 3 to 12. Children under three get in free.
Contestants ages 14 and older are invited to enter as an individual or group. Entry fee is $25.
Deadline for entry is Saturday, Oct. 21. There is a limited number of spots available so early entry is encouraged. For entry information contact Julie Humphries, 219-3447.
