Thomas R. Upchurch

Thomas Richard (Curly) Upchurch, 71, of 192 Sizemore Road, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, in Oakmont of Union.

A native of Gaffney, he was the son of the late Jessie Roy Upchurch and the late Amanda Louisiana McAbee Upchurch. He was a member and former deacon of McKowns Mountain Baptist Church and was a retired textile employee.

Surviving are three brothers, Lewis Upchurch, Jessie Roy Upchurch and Marvin Upchurch, all of Gaffney; and three sisters, Mary Mullinax, Margaret Mullinax and Anna Mae Mullinax, all of Gaffney.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Upchurch was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Upchurch.

The family is at the home of Marie Echols, 190 Sizemore Road, Gaffney.
