Retired from Timken

Bennie Lee Crosby, 60, of 426 Estelle Road, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, in Spart a n b u r g R e g i o n a l M e d i c a l Center.

Widower of Doris Green Crosby, he was born in Gaffney, a son of the late Bennie Frank Crosby and Evia Lee Hoey

Crosby. He was a

member of Concord Baptist Church and Senior Usher Board, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of Mountain View Masonic Lodge #301. He was a retired employee of The Timken Company.

Surviving are two sons, SSgt. Bennett Crosby (Tasha) of Ft. Campbell, Ky., Michael Hardy of Gaffney; two daughters, Stephanie Tate (Timothy) of the home and Brandi Sullivan of Spartanburg; two brothers, Shadrach Cleo Crosby of Gaffney, Ricky Camp of Louisville, Ky. ; three sisters, Lillian Crosby Brown (Kenneth) of Columbia, Clara Dewberry of Greenville and Susan Wade of Gaffney; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Bridges officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at noon.
