Couple wed Oct. 28 in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

MR. AND MRS. RUSSELL L. JOHNSON MR. AND MRS. RUSSELL L. JOHNSON Christy Diane Ensley and Russell L. Johnson, both of Cowpens, were married Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at Little Log Chapel in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Travis Traim officiated the double ring ceremony at 2 p.m. A reception was given by the bride's parents at The Peddler in Gatlinburg.

Following their honeymoon in Gatlinburg, the couple are making their home in Cowpens.

The bride is the daughter of Teresa and Doug Thompson and Gary Ensley, of Cowpens and Gaffney. A graduate of Gaffney High School, she is a student at Spartanburg Technical College and is manager of Christy's Discount Grocery.

The groom is a graduate of Gaffney High School and works as a carpenter.

Musical selections included "God Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts.

The chapel was decorated with greenery and candelabra. Arrangements of miniature white and pink roses and white and pink rose petals complemented the setting.

Given in marriage by Doug Thompson and Gary Ensley, the bride wore a white satin gown enhanced with a pearl-beaded lace halter bodice and tulle skirt. Her pencil-edged three-tier cathedral veil was embellished with pearls and rhinestones and fell from a silver tiara of rhinestone daisies and pearls. She carried a bouquet of

white and pink roses, white and pink spray roses, Eskimo roses, caspia, baby's breath, ivy, stephanotis and tulle.

Teresa Thompson of Cowpens was her daughter's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Nichole Stanley, cousin, of North Carolina and Stacey Mullinax of South Carolina. The attendants wore light pink A-line dresses featuring halter bodices with silver appliques. They carried bouquets of white and pink roses, miniature white and pink roses, stephanotis and pink lilies.

Jessa Hall, cousin, was the flower girl. She wore a white silk gown trimmed with light pink satin ribbon that tied in the back and carried white and pink roses with pink lilies.

Russell Lee Johnson II of Cowpens, son of the bride and groom, was the ring bearer.

Gary Ensley of Gaffney was the groom's best man.

The bride was entertained with a number of showers prior to the wedding.

A linen shower was held at the home of her parents and a miscellaneous shower was held at Outback of Gaffney. A lingerie shower was held at the Spartanburg Country Club and the groom was given a lawn and garden and tool shower. All were hosted by the bride's parents.
