Documents found dumped in Blacksburg

A large amount of documents from several businesses was found dumped off Quarry Road in Blacksburg on Wednesday, a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office states.

Deputy Brian Mullinax notified Cherokee County Code Enforcement after he responded to the site near an outbuilding of a vacant business at 2 p.m. Police believe the illegal dumping occurred between Tuesday and Wednesday.

The code enforcement officer notified police Wednesday that the documents had been in a tractor-trailer stolen from Mecklenburg County, N.C., according to the report.
