A "Help the Kids" poker run was held recently for the Cherokee Children's Home. Jeremy Went presented the proceeds of $1,840 to Susan Harris, the home's executive director. "We appreciate the hard work that Jeremy and all of the participants put into this fund raiser," said Judy Nix, the home's director of development. "The group even brought their bikes for the children to see. We hope this will become an annual event."
