COWPENS - Joe Paul Price Jr., 82, of 184 East Cudd Road, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006.

A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Joe Paul and Ester Sloan Price Sr. and the husband of the late Mary Elizabeth Wilson Price. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Ester Jo Williams of Cowpens; a son, Michael W. Price of Cowpens; a sister, Jeanette Hutchins of Cowpens; a brother, Peyton Price of Cowpens; two sisters-in-law, Irene Evans and Kathryn Price both of Cowpens; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Graveside services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Price Family Cemetery with the Revs. Rick Taylor and Guy Hutchins officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crestview Baptist Church Building Fund, 3010 Chesnee Hwy., Gaffney, S.C. 29340.
