Shelber H. Smith
Shelber Jean Huskey Smith, 56, of 1610 Beech St., Lot No. 4, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at her home.
A native of Gaffney, she was the wife of Coy P. Smith and daughter of the late James Landrum Huskey and the late Annie Mae Manning Huskey. She was a spooler in textiles and was a member of Tabernacle of Love.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, James P. Smith of the home; two sisters, Brenda Blackburn and Nancy Childers, both of Gaffney.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Dean and Nathan Huskey.
Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Tabernacle of Love Church, conducted by the Revs. Harold Dean Painter and Andrew Walker. Burial was in Clingman Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Tobi Blackburn, Mike Dawson, Billy White, John Thompson, Steve Myers and Ronnie Harris.
Visitation was held Saturday evening from 7-8:30 at Gordon Mortuary, Blacksburg.
