Miss Wyatt is bride of Mickey Shea Phillips

MRS. MICKEY SHEA PHILLIPS (NICHOLE LEE WYATT) MRS. MICKEY SHEA PHILLIPS (NICHOLE LEE WYATT) Nichole Lee Wyatt and Mickey Shea Phillips were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, in an outdoor wedding at Lake Lure, N.C. The Rev. Tim Porter, pastor of East Flatrock Methodist Church, officiated the double ring ceremony at 6 p.m.

The bride is the daughter of Freida Thompson and stepdaughter of J.L. Thompson of Mt. Holly, N.C., and daughter of Billy Wyatt and stepdaughter of Modene Wyatt of Gaffney. She graduated in 2006 from Spartanburg Technical College with a degree in legal administration.

The groom is the son of Ned and Phyllis Phillips of Gaffney. A 2001 graduate of USCS with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in public accounting, he is employed as the North American financial controller for Byotrol Plc, a UK publicly traded multi national biocide company based in Manchester, England.

Surrounded by the mountains of North Carolina, the couple exchanged their vows in the Lake Lure gazebo that was adorned with greenery and an assortment of truffle, burnt orange, apple red, yellow and peridot green fall floral arrangements.

Music was provided by Lela Lattimore, harpist, and Tracy Wyatt, soloist. Ms. Wyatt sang "Because You Loved Me."

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attired in a strapless Henry Roth gown of diamond white souffle. The skirt was enhanced with a cascading back train. She carried a bouquet of off-white lilies and off-white miniature roses.

Tracy Wyatt attended her sister as maid of honor. She wore a yellow dress and carried a bouquet of offwhite lilies and yellow miniature roses.

Bridesmaids were Melissa Pennington, who wore a bunt orange dress; Brandy Crane, who wore a peridot green dress; Shannon Wyatt, who wore a truffle colored dress; and Jessica Spencer, who wore an apple red dress. Each of the attendants carried a bouquet of peridot, apple red, burnt orange and trufflecolored flowers.

The daughter of the bride, Kassidy, served as flower girl and wore an ivory dress enhanced with a yellow satin bow. A princess tiara adorned her hair.

Andrew Small of Charleston attended the groom as best man. Groomsmen were William Bland of Boiling Springs, Tim Renner of Charleston, Greg Hagood of Yuba, Okla., and Chris McSwain of Gaffney.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception at the 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa. A menu of jumbo shrimp, scallops wrapped in bacon, chicken salad croissants, mini quiche, tea sandwiches, chicken tenders, and herb-stuffed mushrooms was served along with fruits and vegetables The chocolate, vanilla and Italian cream five-tiered wedding cake was created by Linda Walton. Entertainment for the reception was provided by Ray and Donna Skipper.

The couple spent their honeymoon on the Mayan Riviera, where they stayed eight days at the El Dorado Royal Resort and Spa. They are making their home at 727 Ross Hill Road in the Grassy Pond Community of Gaffney.
