SPARTANBURG - Constantine George "Gus" Hrysikos, 71, of 414 Mockingbird Lane, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, at his home.

Born March 1, 1935, in Marathia, Evrytania, Greece, he was a son of the late George C. and Theodora Zaharopoulos Hrysikos. He came to live in the United States in 1950. He was the owner of Pete's in Gaffney and former co-owner of The Cabana Restaurant in Spartanburg. A member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and the Order of Ahepa Chapter 268, he was also a member of the International Food Service Association and the Evrytanian Velouchi Association. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Hrysikos is survived by his wife, Annastasia Mitsou Hyrsikos; his sons, George C. Hrysikos and his wife, Ramona, of Spartanburg and Dimitrios C. Hrysikos and his fiancé, Stephanie Harris, of Gaffney; his daughter, Dorothy H. Kalogirou and her husband, Constantine, of Roebuck; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Alaina Hrysikos and Evan Kalogirou; his brothers, Steve G. and Demetrios Hrysikos of Greenville; and his sisters, Helen Sarris of Atlanta and Ellie Panagistopoulos of Karpenisi, Greece.

Mr. Hrysikos was predeceased by a brother, Stanley G. Hryskikos.

A visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. today at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel with the Trisagion Prayer Service at 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, conducted by the Rev. George F. Nayfa. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1107, Spartanburg, S.C. 29304.

The family is at the home, 414 Mockingbird Lane.
