Man suffers knife wounds

A Blacksburg man was flown by Regional One to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center on Sunday night after being cut with a knife, a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office states.

John David Nichols, 42, of 200 Friday Street Apartments, Blacksburg, is in fair condition at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Deputy Richard Turner responded to a residence at 203 Pleasant Valley Road, Blacksburg, at 9:30 p.m. and found Nichols lying on the ground suffering from lacerations to his neck and chest, the report states.

The investigation is continuing.
