Peeler honored at Berea College
Maj. Peeler Major David L. Peeler Jr., a 1998 graduate of Berea College, was among three Berea alumni who were honored during Berea's homecoming activities Nov. 10-12.
Major Peeler was presented an Outstanding Young Alumnus Award. A South Carolina native, he is currently stationed at Eilson Air Force Base in Alaska. Since entering the Air Force in 1992, Peeler has been deployed supporting Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa. He has commanded at the squadron level and he led the cost division at the world's largest and most a d v a n c e d complex of aerospace flight simulation test facilities.
M a j o r Peeler is a nationally C e r t i f i e d Cost Estimator/ Analyst and an Air
Force Acquisition Professional.
For his outstanding service, he has received the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, the Air Force Achievement Medal and the National Defense Medal, among other notable awards and recognitions.
After graduating from Berea, Peeler earned a second bachelor's degree from Troy State University. He holds Master of Science degrees from the Air Force Institute of Technology and the Air Command and Staff College.
