Weapons, drugs seized in raid
Ledger photo by TARA JENNINGS Narcotics officers seized cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, an SKS assault rifle, a pistol and a shotgun from a Gaffney home Thursday.
Agent Christy Poole of the Cherokee County Metro Narcotics Unit has charged Scott D'Angelo Jeter, 21, of 140 Malone Road, Gaffney, with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of Xanax and possession of Lortabs.
Jeter's brother, Alonzo Jeter, of the same address, was arrested on a Family Court bench warrant after running from police. He is charged with simple possession of marijuana in addition to the bench warrant.
Narcotics officers executed a search warrant at the Jeter residence at noon Thursday. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Bloodhound Tracking Team helped locate Alonzo Jeter after he ran out the back door of the home, the report states.
Agents found two plastic bags containing cocaine, a brown paper bag containing 14 plastic bags of marijuana and a set of digital scales in Scott Jeter's bedroom, according to the report. A SKS assault rifle, a Smith & Wesson .32 caliber long pistol and a .410 gauge shotgun were also found in the bedroom, police said.
Eight pills were found in a cellophane wrapper in Scott Jeter's watch pocket and he had a marijuana cigar in his hand, the report states.
Police said agents found two plastic bags containing marijuana in Alonzo Jeter's bedroom and a plastic bag containing marijuana in a bathroom.
Police also seized $445 in cash.
In a separate raid, narcotics officers seized an ounce of crack cocaine from a 6th Street home in Gaffney.
Deputy Tim Hill has charged Daniel M. Buckson, 27, of 522 6th St., Gaffney, with trafficking crack cocaine and trafficking crack cocaine within a half mile of a school.

and located a plastic bag containing crack cocaine, according to a report at the sheriff's office.
Two Gaffney men were arrested at 6:40 a.m. Friday during the execution of a search warrant, another report at the sheriff's office states.
Agent Al Phillips of the Narcotics Unit has charged Jimmy Carlton Gilfillan Jr., 38, of 495 Potter Road, Gaffney, with 3rd or subsequent offense possession of marijuana.
Eddie Henderson, 38, of 166 Pierce Lane, Gaffney, is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of Xanax.
Agents seized one ounce of marijuana and three Xanax pills during the raid at Gilfillan's home, the report states.
