COWPENS - Don Edward (Popa) Henson, 61, of 419 Oakdale Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, at his residence. Born in Asheville, N.C., he was the loving husband of Rhonda Jones Henson for 25 years and son of the late Austin T. Henson and Bonnie Henson. PICKENS, S.C. (AP) - Taxpayers in Pickens County are suing the school district there because of a plan to build new schools even after voters rejected a request from the board to issue bonds to pay for the construction.
