Ernest D. Bonner Jr.

Ernest Daniel Bonner Jr., 41, of 335 Mill St., died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at 9:30 p.m. at his home.

Son of Mary Jefferies Bonner and Ernest Bonner Sr. of the home, he was a native of Cherokee County and a 1983 graduate of Gaffney Senior High School. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and employed by Tommy's Appliance Center.

In addition to his parents he is survived by four sisters, Rosalind Bonner of the home, Karen Bonner of Columbia, Bridgette Dawkins of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Dietra Makupson (Brian) of Gaffney; a brother, Timothy Bonner of Gaffney; and a nephew and niece, Louie Davis Jr. and LaQuisha Bonner, who were reared in the home as a brother and sister.

Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Danny L. Burnside, Lewis Davis and John Wilkins. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Tate, Fernard Elston, Terrance Mathis, Johnny Jefferies, Warren Bonner and Lee.

Flower bearers will be Donna Crosby, Carolyn Tate, Mary Williams, Tonya Clay, Essie Simpson, Norola Brown, Bessie Manning and Audrey McDowell.

Honorary pallbearers and flower bearers will be members of the graduating class of 1983 of Gaffney High School,
