Bond denied one of county’s ‘most wanted’ Bond has been denied for one of Cherokee County’s most wanted who was arrested Monday on multiple burglary and petty larceny charges. Classus Vincent Bonner, 34, of 120 Springwood Drive, Gaffney, was added last week to Cherokee County’s Most Wanted list for owing $41,000 in child support. In addition to a Family Court bench warrant, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Detective Mark Vanderburg also charged Bonner on Monday with four counts each of 2nd-degree burglary and petty larceny. On Monday, Gaffney Police Department Detective Sgt. Ron Ramsey charged Bonner with 2nd-degree burglary. According to city police, Bonner used a rock to break the glass out of the entrance door to the H&K Food Mart, 1005 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, at 3:50 a.m. on Dec. 2. Police said he stole approximately $50 worth of Newport cigarettes. He is also accused of burglarizing Jones Store, 1649 Cherokee Ave., Gaffney, on Nov. 3 and 29. Police also said Bonner took multiple cartons of cigarettes on two occasions from Cherokee Food Mart No. 1, 910 Cherokee Ave., Gaffney. |
