BLACKSBURG – Donnie Harlan Hollifield, 70, formerly of 345 Henson Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at Brian Center in Gastonia, N.C.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late D.H. Hollifield and Estelle Lavender Hollifield. Mr. Hollifield was a member of Kirby Memorial Baptist Church in Gaffney.

He is survived by four sisters, Joan Green of Blacksburg, Brenda Yow of Sarasota, Fla., Carolyn Goodson of Blacksburg and Virginia Ramsey of Charlotte.

The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Grady Gregory. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of Tracy Green, 183 Lyman Drive, Blacksburg.
