Alice Whittenburg
Former employee of Marsh Cabinets and Furniture Co.

Alice Irene Whittenburg, 65, of High Point, N.C., died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, in High Point R e g i o n a l Hospital.

Born in C h e r o k e e County, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel and Susie Hill Whittenburg. Early in life, she joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Gaffney and attended Gethsemane Baptist Church in High Point. Alice was a former employee of Marsh Cabinets and Furniture Co.

Surviving are a brother, El William Turner (Delois) of Flint, Mich.; a sister, Billie Sue McFadden of High Point; an aunt, Anna Hill of Spartanburg; a brother-in-law, Edward Littlejohn of Gaffney; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel in Gaffney with the Rev. C.A. Wallace officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dewey Whittenburg and the Rev. Arthur J. Smith. Interment will follow in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 3:30- 5:30 p.m. in Gethsemane Baptist Church.
