Roger Shiflett, owner of the local Ford dealership, is negotiating to purchase Wallace-White Pontiac-Buick-GMC, The Ledger has learned. Shiflett purchased the Ford dealership on Hwy. 11 one year ago and will own the adjacent Wallace-White company within the next few months, sources said.

Shiflett's general manager said he preferred not to comment when reached by phone Friday.
