¦ The Music Department of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church will be having its annual Musical Extravaganza on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 6 p.m. Some of the special guests will be the Rev. Heyward Boyd, Sister Mary Ann Wilkins, the Royal Six Quartet, Sister Debra K. Haney Byars, Jawarris Blanton and others. Choir members in the community are invited to come and be a part of the choir. ¦ The Ushers' Ministry of Suck Creek Baptist Church will be sponsoring a meal for $7 per person immediately after morning worship services on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. in the Family Life and Recreation Center, off Hwy. 11. The menu includes turkey, dressing and gravy, roast, green beans, collards, macaroni and cheese, rice, yams, rolls, pound cake and apple desert, tea or water. ¦ If you like to knit or crochet, "Hooks and Needles with Love" needs your help. Red scarves are needed by Friday, Jan. 26, to be shipped to Virginia for Valentine bags to be given to orphans attending college. Also, by Friday, Feb. 9, 65 hats or scarves are needed to be sent out in Valentine bags to homebound clients of the Gaffney Senior Center. The center recently donated over 100 baby hats to the Pregnancy Center, 200 baby hats to Warm Up America, 32 baby hats to Upstate Carolina Medical Center, and over 30 baby hats to the neo-natal care unit at Spartanburg Regional.
