Ice, coke and pot seized in Thursday raid

The Cherokee County Metro Narcotics Unit seized 131 grams of ice methamphetamine during a raid at a Gaffney home at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office states.

Narcotics Agent Tim Hill has charged John Mitchell Potter, 46, of 130 Scoggins Road, Gaffney, with trafficking more than 100 grams but less than 200 grams of ice, trafficking more than 100 grams but less than 200 grams of ice within a half mile of Cherokee Technology Center, trafficking more than 10 grams but less than 28 grams of cocaine, trafficking more than 10 grams but less than 28 grams of cocaine within a half mile of Cherokee Technology Center, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of Alprazolam, and possession of a pistol during the commission of a violent crime.

In addition to the ice, agents also located approximately one pound of marijuana, 23 grams of cocaine, two Alprazolam pills and a Glock pistol in Potter's home, the report states.
