A Gaffney woman was driving past Kimbrell's Furniture when part of a sign at the business fell and damaged her vehicle, a report at the Gaffney Police Department states.

The 66-year-old woman told police she was traveling north on Limestone Street at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when one of the letters fell off the building at 502 N. Limestone St., Gaffney, and struck her 2005 Hyundai Tucson.

A 55-year-old man told sheriff's deputies someone cut the tail off his horse, a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office states.

The incident happened between 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, and 8 a.m. Tuesday on Union Highway, the report states.

Police arrested a 35-yearold Gaffney man during a traffic stop at 5 p.m. Tuesday, a report at the Gaffney Police Department states.

Officer B.C. Green of the Gaffney Police Department has charged Larry Dean Henderson of 416 S. Johnson St., Gaffney, with 2ndoffense driving under suspension.

The officer stopped Henderson at South Limestone and Corry streets after witnessing Henderson rolling through a stop sign in a 1999 Chevy Cavalier with a flickering tail light, the report states.

When the officer asked for Henderson's driver's license, Henderson said he did not have one, according to the report.

An Indian Hill, N.C., woman told police she was traveling south on Interstate 85 when someone in a white SUV bumped the back of her vehicle twice, a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office states.

The 21-year-old woman contacted police after switching lanes to avoid being forced off the road by the white SUV that was hauling a trailer, the report states. She provided the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and the S.C. Highway Patrol with the vehicle's license plate number.

The incident happened at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the vicinity of Mile Marker 92.

Copper, copper, who's got the copper

Four tons of copper wire were discovered stolen from BellSouth, 1435 N. Logan St., Gaffney, on Tuesday, a report at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office states.

The wire was taken some time after Dec. 25, the report states. A lock was cut off the rear gate of the business.
