      Franklin Bridges, 77, of Pine Knot, Ky., passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, in Lake Cumb e r l a n d R e g i o n a l H o s p i t a l , Somerset, Ky. Born Feb. 29, 1929, he was the husband of Frances "Pat" Bridges and son of Rosa Lee Simmons Bridges of Gaffney and the late Edward Bridges. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa, and a son-in-law, Johnny Coffey.

      Franklin Delano Golden, 71, of 253 Beltline Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 15, 2007. at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Laurens, he was the husband of Barbara White Golden and son of the late James Richard Golden and Bonnie Rose Cole Golden. Mr. Golden was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired farmer and a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church.
