Willie Mae White
ROCK HILL - Willie Mae Crosby White, 88, died Friday in Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill.
Widow of Leroy White, she was born in Cherokee County, a daughter of the late Will and Carrie Gordon Crosby. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Greenville County Schools.
She was preceded in death by five children, Mae West, Marie, Ellie (Dorothy), Wilbert (Minnie Lee), and Terry (Shirley) Jamison; and siblings, James Crosby, Winfred Crosby and Marie Hayes.
Surviving are six sons, Bobby (Sandra) Jamison, Harry (Rose) Jamison, Taft Jamison, Winfred (Rosie) Jamison and Wesley (Sylvia) Jamison, all of Gaffney, and Jerry Jamison of Greenville; a sister, Stella Fowler of Gaffney; 26 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Wilbert Jamison officiating. Burial will be in Gaffney Memorial Park.
The family is at the home of Winfred Jamison, 112 Camelia Circle, Gaffney.
