Willie Ewell Byers, 78, of Brit Haven Nursing Home, Greensboro, N.C., answered the Master's call on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007 at 6 a.m. in Cone Memorial H o s p i t a l , Greensboro.

A native of Gaffney, he was the son of the late Ewell Byers and the late Allie Turner Byers. He graduated from Granard High School and was retired from Budget Car Rental.

Surviving are two sons, Wendell Byers and Willie Sherlock Byers of Greensboro; two daughters, Karen Neal and Rosalyn Byers of Greensboro; a sister, Marion Powell of Gaffney; a brother, James Byers of Greensboro; and six grandchildren.

The family will be at the home of his niece, Jacquelyn Graham, 804 Hetty Hill St., Gaffney.
