Olema L. Bridges
BOILING SPRINGS - Olema Lawter Bridges, 86, of 4074 Parris Bridge Road, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Chesnee, she was the widow of Hugh Cooley Bridges and daughter of the late Tent Lawter and the late Nannie Henderson Lawter. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Bridges of the home and Bobby Joe Bridges of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Ethel Elder of Chesnee and Rose Gilbert of Spartanburg; a brother, Paul Lawter of Chesnee; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by a son, Herbert Allen Bridges.
Graveside services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Springhill Memorial Gardens, Chesnee, conducted by the Rev. David Duncan.
Visitation was held Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary at Springhill Chapel.
The family is at the home of Bobby Joe Bridges, 4064 Parris Bridge Road, Boiling Springs, S.C. 29316.
