Retired from Cherokee Textile in Chesnee

INMAN - Lemmie E. Hyleman, 82, of 124 Center St., died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at Self Regional Health Care, Greenwood.

Born April 4, 1924, in Clifton, he was the widower of Evelyn Mullinax Hyleman. He

was a veteran of the

U.S. Navy, serving in

World War II in both the Atlantic Theatre and the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Hyleman was retired from Cherokee Textile in Chesnee and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are three sons, Ray Hyleman of Gaffney, Jerry Hyleman and wife, Hazel, of Boiling Springs and Gene Hyleman of the home; a sister, Annie Mae Wood of Spartanburg; a brother, Thomas Hyleman of Clifton; three granddaughters, Stephanie Hyleman of Gaffney, Linda Hyleman of Grand Cayman Island, British West Indies, and Eloise Farr of Asheville; a grandson, Jerry Hyleman II of Asheville; two great-granddaughters, Lila Farr of Asheville and Daniella Leslie Heard of Grand Cayman Island, British West Indies; and a greatgrandson, Simon Farr of Asheville.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, conducted by the Revs. Kenneth Cash and Ray K. Stuart. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held today from 6-8 p.m. at Floyd's Boiling Spring Chapel.

Family members are at their respective homes.
