SHELBY - Betty Sue Ham Blackemon, 75, of 5109 Circle Drive, died Friday, March 9, 2007, in Carolinas Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Forest Furman Ham and the late Sally Ann Bolin Ham. She attended Morning Star Baptist Church and was retired from the Department of Social Services as an eligibility technician.

Surviving are a daughter, Cheryle Ann Blackemon, of the home and a brother, Boyd Ham, of Blacksburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Lawrence Ham and Olin David Ham.

Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Terry Lowe. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jamie Ham, Jeff Ham, Derek Ham, Danny Ham, Danny Ham Jr., and Cajan Manning.

Visitation was held Saturday evening from 7-8:30 at Gordon Mortuary.
