Miss Galloway, Mr. Wallace speak vows
MRS. JOSHUA WADE WALLACE (REBECCA MARSHALL GALLOWAY) Rebecca Marshall Galloway and Joshua Wade Wallace were united in marriage on Saturday, March 10, 2007, at 11 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene in Columbia. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Geoffrey Kunselman.
A reception, given by the bride's parents, followed at Gibson Commons in Lexington.
Pastor Scott Kelley and Kathy Barker, both of Columbia, provided vocal selections. Jack Preston provided a trumpet selection.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Samuel Galloway of Columbia and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar S. Galloway of Easley and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Clinton Brogdon Jr. who lived in Sumter. A graduate of Midlands Technical College with an associates degree in paralegal/legal assistant, she is a paralegal at Estes Law Firm in Beaufort.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Wade Wallace and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Philip J. Whisenant, all of Gaffney, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Max Wallace who also lived in Gaffney. A graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. degree in wildlife biology, he is a wildlife technician with the USDA Wildlife Services in Beaufort.
LuAnn Galloway Edens of Bluffton was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Murray Galloway Cromer of Columbia, Sallie Nash McCutchen of Mt. Pleasant, Ashley Porter Young of Pickens, all cousins of the bride, Ashleigh Buck Patterson of Chester, Virginia Brashier and Laura Elizabeth Brashier, both of Columbia.
The attendants wore strapless C.K. Bradley gowns of black duponi silk embossed with white polka dots and carried bouquets of Gerbera daisies trimmed with greenery.
Margaret Mikell Edens, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.
Andy Wallace attended his son as best man. Groomsmen were Andrew Steven Wallace of Gaffney, brother of the groom, Michael William Sprouse of Gaffney, Harry Walton Harter III of Columbia, John Benjamin Graham V of Spartanburg and Mathew Gorman Tilley of Toccoa, Ga.
Junior groomsmen were Daniel Steven Whisenant and Thomas Bennett Whisenant, cousins of the groom, both of Gaffney.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless diamond white Maggie Softero corset-back gown embellished with crystals and enhanced with starburst gathers scattered on the skirt. The neck line was trimmed with a fabric band that was ruched asymmetrically at the side and sprinkled with crystals. Her cathedral veil was embellished with the clusters of crystals. She carried an mixed arrangement of pink tulips, roses and Gerbera daisies wrapped in diamond white ribbon.
The candles were lit by Drew Wallace and H.W. Harter in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar S. Galloway and Mr. and Mrs. Philip J. Whisenant and in memory of Mr. and Mrs. John Clinton Brogdon Jr., Florence Nash Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Max Wallace and Steve Whisenant.
Kristin Koliefte Sutherland and Morgan Victoria McCulloch, both of Columbia, attended the guest register and programs were distributed by Greer Galloway of Columbia and Ashley Ruppe Sprouse of Gaffney. Diane Bundrick and Harriet Ward, both of Columbia, directed the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. David Bennett Galloway and Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Gregory Buck, all of Columbia, greeted the guests.
After a cruise to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Beaufort.

Prior to the wedding, the brideelect was honored with numerous parties and showers.
A Southern Living shower was given by Greer Galloway and Susan Buck on Oct. 7, 2006, at the Galloway home.
A miscellaneous shower was given by the bride-elect's paternal aunts and uncles at the home of Tara Ann Galloway Garrett in Fountain Inn on Oct. 22, 2006.
A Christmas shower was given by Tracy Ruppe, Rae Whisenant and Ashley Ruppe Sprouse on Dec. 30, 2006, at the Ruppe home in Gaffney.
Another miscellaneous bridal shower was given on Jan. 27 by Maxine Elder, Kimberly Elder and Kecia Spencer at Mrs. Spencer's home in Gaffney.
A couples' tool and garden shower was given by David and Jennifer Smith and Phillip and Katie Goodson on Feb. 10 at Dratonville Baptist Social Hall.
Renae Bolf, Sharon Harris, June Bridges, Michelle Patton, Millie Reynolds, Ashley Sprouse, Tammy Ruppe and Tracy Ruppe were hostesses for a miscellaneous bridal shower on Feb.11 at Cherokee Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
A bachelorette party and lingerie shower were given over the weekend of Feb. 16 in Myrtle Beach by several of the bridesmaids and the bride-to-be's friends.
Mr. Wallace's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on March 9 at Ascot Club House in Columbia.
