You can send Girl Scout cookies to troops by buying them at ARC
Jenny Spires, Joy Wylie and Grace Wylie of Girl Scout Troop 23 are pictured here at a cookie booth outside the American Red Cross office in Gaffney on March 3. Citizens of Cherokee County who wish to send Girl Scout cookies to local soldiers stationed in Afghanistan can do so by purchasing cookies at the ARC by Friday. Local Girl Scout Troop 23 has designated the Cherokee County American Red Cross (ARC) as its charitable organization for this year's cookie sale.
This means that citizens of Cherokee County who wish to send Girl Scout cookies to local soldiers stationed in Afghanistan can do so by purchasing cookies at the ARC just for this purpose.
The deadline for contributions is Friday, March 23. If you have been collecting funds or wish to participate in this effort, do so this week. There are also cookies available in the Red Cross office for personal purchase.
For further information, contact Shellie Wylie, manager of the Cherokee County chapter of the American Red Cross, at (864) 489- 6066; or e-mail her at swylie@piedmontarc. org; or Teresa Spires, Girl Scout Troop 23 Leader, at (864) 415- 7823.
