Cherokee County students will receive discount on tuition

About 360 Cherokee County students currently make the 60-mile round trip drive to attend classes at Spartanburg Community College. Grant funds will be used to upgrade East Gaffney

ARC's Kids Day termed 'big success'
The Cherokee County American Red Cross held its first ARC Kids Day on Saturday, March 16. According to the organizers, it was a big success. Twenty-three local children enjoyed the one-hour "Masters of Disasters" program focusing in on general preparedness, tornadoes and lightning.
