Retired from textiles
Earl L. Parker, 77, of 321 Linder Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 17, 2007, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late Henry B. Parker and Mattie Hall Parker and husband of Margaret V. Price Parker. He was retired from textiles and was a farmer. Mr. Parker was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, surviving are a son, Wayne Parker and wife, Peggy, of Gaffney; three brothers, Charles Parker and wife, Genny, of Bradington Fla., Burman Parker and wife, Shelby Jean, of Gaffney, T.J. Parker and wife, Genelle, also of Gaffney; two sisters, Emma Jean Phillips and husband, Dean, of Gaffney and Lib Blanton, also of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Todd Parker and wife, DeeDee, of Gaffney and Laura Rillman and husband, James, of Boiling Springs; two great-grandchildren, Keely Parker and Ruthie Parker; and a stepgreat grandchild, Lauren Rillman. Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Stuart Kersey officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
