Happy Birthday!

MRS. MAE SUE GAFFNEY celebrated her 100th birthday Saturday, March 17. She was honored by family and friends with a dinner at Ryan's Steakhouse on Friday, March 16. Mrs. Gaffney said the key to a long life "is to put God first."

WOOD (center, seated) celebrated her 98th birthday on Friday, March 16. She is being congratulated by Rev. and Mrs. J.W. Sanders Sr. at a drop-in party at her home. Mrs. Wood is the 'Mother' of Bethel Baptist Church. Her daughter, Shirley (deceased) was the flower girl in the Sanders' wedding over 50 years ago.
