Bike ride will honor 'Danny Mac'
BLACKSBURG - Iron City Ministries will host its annual bike ride on Saturday, April 14, at Iron City Place. The ride will be themed The Danny Mac 100 Memorial Bike Ride in honor of the late Danny McDaniel. LOCAL ARTIST VISITS PEACHTREE CENTER
Artist Fred Knowles recently visited the residents at Peachtree Centre and drew a large Easter bunny for the bulletin board on Unit 1. The residents watched as the bunny's picture unfolded right before their eyes. Knowles kept the audience entertained by asking them for suggestions about what color outfit to give the bunny as well as asking them pick out a theme for his next visit. More ...
Newborn screening begins for Tyrosinemia
COLUMBIA - Newborn screening for the three known forms of Tyrosinemia began in South Carolina on April 2, according to the state Department of Health and Environmental Control. A brief meditation and hymn will accompany each of the seven words of Christ.
