Bike ride will honor 'Danny Mac'

BLACKSBURG - Iron City Ministries will host its annual bike ride on Saturday, April 14, at Iron City Place. The ride will be themed The Danny Mac 100 Memorial Bike Ride in honor of the late Danny McDaniel.

There will be a one-mile fun ride or walk around town or one may sign up for the 15-, 20-, 50- or 100-mile loop bike ride. Snacks and drinks will be located at manned rest stops and there will be a bike mechanic on hand. This will be an excellent mountain training ride and support vehicles will be on hand. Registration will open at 8 a.m. and the ride starts at 9.

Everyone is invited to a pre-ride lasagna dinner Friday, April 13, at 7 p.m. at Blacksburg Primary School. Dinner will be free to all sponsor representatives and registered bike riders; all others will be asked to make a donation.
