Vashon Ward Sarratt, 32, of 705 Davis St., died Wednesday night, April 4, 2007, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center Emergency Room.

A native of Gaffney, he was the son of James Sarratt Sr. and Pernice Camp Sarratt of the home. He was a member of Mikes Creek Baptist Church and a 1991 graduate of Gaffney High School. He was a former employee of The Timken Company.

Also surviving are a sister, Betty Sarratt Bonner of Boiling Springs; a brother, James Sarratt Jr. of Gaffney; a niece, Shanice Sarratt of Gaffney; and two nephews, Tyson Sarratt and Jaylen Sarratt of Gaffney.

Services will be held Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Mikes Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Michael Henderson, Sammy Leach and Harry Mansel. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 3:30 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Davis, Jimmy Davis, Maurice Davis, Jonta Thompson, Dean Craig and William Dawkins.
