      Joann Lipscomb Sims, 66, of 112 Martin Lane, Apt. 1204, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at her residence. A native of Gaffney, she was the daughter of the late D.B. Lipscomb and the late Ruby Gaffney Lipscomb. She graduated in 1957 from Granard High School and was a member of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church and the Bethel Senior Day Care.

Littlejohn, will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Dunton United Methodist Church, conducted by the Revs. John Wesley Evans and Willie Wilson. Burial will be in Gaffney Memorial Park. Body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.

      Vashon Ward Sarratt, 32, of 705 Davis St., died Wednesday night, April 4, 2007, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center Emergency Room. A native of Gaffney, he was the son of James Sarratt Sr. and Pernice Camp Sarratt of the home. He was a member of Mikes Creek Baptist Church and a 1991 graduate of Gaffney High School. He was a former employee of The Timken Company.
